Daniel and Mrs. Midodo
(Pastor and Teacher)

"Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity."

1 Timothy 4:12.

Beloved in Christ:

It is my privilege to introduce to you a blessed young brother I met in 2008: He was at the time a student in the school where Brother Warren served upon the Faculty.  This is one of the brothers for whom I requested prayer in the current list found on the Ebenezer Worldwide Prayer Band.  Even as the Brethren at Mangochi, Malawi, Pastor Midodo and his congregation need Bibles, and an enclosed sanctuary.  Please pray very earnestly as to what the Lord would have you do help in this regard.  Thank you and God bless you everyone! – Dad O’C

Below is a marvelous testimony of our Lord's grace in the life of Brother Daniel, which we received only recently.  It so stirred us, that I have chosen to herein post it, to serve as his profile.  I am sure that as you read it, you will be blessed!  Oh!  Dearest Lord Jesus, please grant unto all who read this and other reports of your work on the Foreign Fields, a passion for souls, and a burden for the Body of Christ in every nation of the Earth.  We are brethren, and the Body is one!  Amen!

How Rapogi Christian Fellowship was birthed:

"My name is Daniel Midodo, the presiding Pastor of Rapogi Christian Fellowship.

In 1997 I found myself in a very risky situation that birthed my salvation to date. Just to give you a summery of what happened.

I can vividly remember the night of 20th April 1997 when I just began my 9th grade in a boarding school.

We had our evening meal as usual, and went for our evening classes.

Just at quarter to 2:00 P.M., we had a commotion in school and it was the senior students attacking the junior students over the food issue.

We all took to our heels to escape the possible death trap.

Unfortunately, I didn’t know which direction I was taking: Believe it or not, I fell into the fish pond! If not for the Security-Officer who came around that place, I could have been dead a long time ago.

The following day we went back home: We went to our local church and narrated the ordeal, and told my Pastor to pray for me, but, one thing I promised God, was to serve Him for the rest of my life!

Back in school together with some students, we agreed to form a prayer group, and we named ourselves: Christian Union Group, which is still alive in that school to date.

When I completed my 12fth grade, I went back home and joined our local church, as Youth Pastor, and served in that local church for a period of 3 years; until I heard the voice of God telling me to move to Rapogi town.

There, a Christian church didn’t exist at all! First I declined, but the same voice kept on haunting me every now and then! So, one day I prepared myself to go to our local church as usual; but on the way, “that voice” came again, this time around it was so clear that I changed my mind to obey!

So, I went! In the town center there stands a big tree, and under it a shoe repairman had his business as usual. So, I just went there to take a nap. To my surprise the shoe repairman asked me whether I was the Pastor who was supposed to come and have a church service there, to which I said, “No!” We chatted for one hour and I went back home, promising to be back the following Sunday.

I was unable to go there again, for a period of 2 weeks. Then the voice came again!

I decided to go back! The shoe repairman told me that I was “the one,” because another person had come again to confirm it to him; but when I asked him: “Who was the person?” He told me he had no idea.

I asked him if we could just pray together and he said: “Yes.” He became my first church member, right under that tree!

The following Sunday, I came back; we prayed, and again the following Sunday I went, and I had another person joining us! Within a period of two months, our congregation grew to ten persons!

We prayed under that tree for 2 years, until we were able to rent a church building.

The Lord gave me some money with which I bought a piece of land for the church, but we have not built as yet, because we still trusting God for seven thousand dollars to do the job! We now have a savings of three thousand dollars.

Lastly, I want to encourage my brethren in Christ, reading this article, that when you have made the decision to serve God, please don’t turn back, because the Lord will never leave us alone, although we might experience some challenges on the way! Much reward is awaiting us in Heaven for all those who have endured unto the end!"
