PROGRESS REPORT ON THE ROOF! (PART 2) PLEASE SCROLL DOWN TO VIEW PICTURES PREPARATION WORK FOR THE SHINGLES Before we could put down the new shingles, we had to roll out the "ice and water" tar paper, and remove the first two rows of the siding.  Then we made some aluminum flashing and installed it where the roof meets the wall.  After the shingles were down, we put up new clapboards to replace the old ones.  Dad is cutting them in the picture on the right. NEW SHINGLES ARE NAILED DOWN You can see the new shingles here and how good the roof looks now.  Also, you can see the new clapboards which are primered in gray.  There is still much more work to be done on the main roof, but we are rejoicing and praising God for this part of the job being completed!      WITH OUR LORD'S HELP AND THE SUPPORT OF THOSE WHO WOULD BE SO KIND AS TO MAKE CONTRIBUTIONS TO THIS WORTHY CAUSE, AND WITH YOUR PRAYERS, AND THE PRAYERS OF THE BODY OF CHRIST, WE BELIEVE THAT GOD WILL MAKE A WAY FOR THE RESTORATION OF THIS GOSPEL LIGHTHOUSE!  RETURN TO THE PREVIOUS PAGE
