Our
dear Sister, Nellie Linden, was raised as a “Preacher’s Kid,” being (along with her sister, Lorraine Minor)
one of the children of Pastor Elsworth and Florence Moore, of Oyster Bay, Long Island, NY. Her Dad was a “Church of God” minister. For those remembering the “good old days,”
that particular Pentecostal Denomination was very strict, with strongly enforced standards of holiness! Children born into such a home could not easily “dabble in the world,” to any great extent,
even if they wanted to do so. Ha!
Such was the case with the “Moore children.” They were raised
to have faith in Jesus and to love and serve Him, and to be loyal to both family and church.
Much could be said for those old-time traditions: Stuff that builds good homes, good kids, and good communities!
Nellie
fell in love with and married George Linden, when both were quite young. Mother
Sophia Minor often declared that she never laid eyes on a more beautiful bride than Nellie Moore Linden! George was the grandson of a powerfully anointed Norwegian Prophetess, who moved effectively in the Gifts
of the Holy Spirit in the early days of Pentecost. Her name was, Anna Lindgren.
George
and Nellie raised five handsome sons, all of whom married, and blessed Mom and Dad with an array of beloved grandchildren. George was called home to Heaven rather early, but our Lord blessed him to live to
see and enjoy a number of his grandchildren, whom he loved very dearly.
Sister
Nellie has for many years been, a very powerful prophetess and intercessor; and since their moving to Coundersport in 1970,
she has been a strong Prayer Warrior and pillar of support in the work there, Pastored by her Brother-in-law, David Minor,
Sr.
Over
the years, her ministry of intercession has grown and developed, and come into a beautiful and seasoned maturity. We thank our Lord Jesus for the prayers of this godly mother in Zion!
Dear
ones, we humbly request of each of you to have special prayers for our dear sister, Nellie; for Mama Nell, as she is affectionately
known by many. She has been through great heartbreak and suffering in her life, and in recent times, has had to face
serious physical attacks. Her deep devotion to prayer is not only for her beloved children, grandchildren, and extended
family, but also for every single member of the Body of Christ; especially for the sick and the suffering. Please
pray for her!
