Psalm 128

Blessed is every one that feareth the Lord; that walketh in his ways.

For thou shalt eat the labour of thine hands: happy shalt thou be, and it shall be well with thee.

Thy wife shall be as a fruitful vine by the sides of thine house: thy children like olive plants round about thy table.

Behold, that thus shall the man be blessed that feareth the Lord.

The Lord shall bless thee out of Zion: and thou shalt see the good of Jerusalem all the days of thy life.

Yea, thou shalt see thy children's children, and peace upon Israel.

HOW FIRM A FOUNDATION

How firm a foundation, ye saints of the Lord,
Is laid for your faith in His excellent Word!
What more can He say than to you He hath said,
You, who unto Jesus for refuge have fled?

In every condition, in sickness, in health;
In poverty’s vale, or abounding in wealth;
At home and abroad, on the land, on the sea,
As thy days may demand, shall thy strength ever be.

Fear not, I am with thee, O be not dismayed,
For I am thy God and will still give thee aid;
I’ll strengthen and help thee, and cause thee to stand
Upheld by My righteous, omnipotent hand.

When through the deep waters I call thee to go,
The rivers of woe shall not thee overflow;
For I will be with thee, thy troubles to bless,
And sanctify to thee thy deepest distress.

When through fiery trials thy pathways shall lie,
My grace, all sufficient, shall be thy supply;
The flame shall not hurt thee; I only design
Thy dross to consume, and thy gold to refine.

Even down to old age all My people shall prove
My sovereign, eternal, unchangeable love;
And when hoary hairs shall their temples adorn,
Like lambs they shall still in My bosom be borne.

The soul that on Jesus has leaned for repose,
I will not, I will not desert to its foes;
That soul, though all hell should endeavor to shake,
I’ll never, no never, no never forsake."

LETTER OF APPRECIATION:

We feel inspired to share the following excerpt from a letter recently received from one of our dear friends. It does us a world of good when our readers take the time to send us words of cheer and encouragement.

“First of all, I love the content of the website overall. I love your seasonal letters, so full of warmth of spirit, and beautifully written.  The latest one really stirred me in my heart to want to be one who has the singleness of the "dove's eye".   That letter is a classic, and I can tell it comes forth from a deep "well of Baca" experience.  So fitting that the letter that "waters" the soul from a fountain of tears is the one written for Spring!

 I love the serious approach to some of the appalling conditions of the church today that you take through your own articles, Pastor Mike.   These things NEED to be said, and as a prophet of the Lord, I believe your words are carrying weight, and will be heard by those who have "ears to hear."

I love the encouragement to pray for the needs of different ones that the Lord very specifically lays upon your heart.

I love how you list and give honor to intercessors, as well as how you've shared some of their stories.

I love the articles you've written to share life stories, or insights into the lives of some dear friends or old saints who have gone onto glory.

I love the touch of "church history," and references to historical figures, and even the sharing of their poems.

I love the different absolutely high quality magazines you've placed on the website so the Lord's people have access to some of the "best of the best" when it comes to inspirational writings.  It is not empty flatteries when I say I think it is the best source of spiritual material on the internet.   And I love how you are calling it an "Online Study Center".  I trust that people are seeing it, and using it  for that very purpose because I do think reading, searching the scriptures, poring over the articles will cause great impartation into the lives of those who are willing to avail themselves of the material you have taken great time to collect, and make available to the body of Christ.

I also love how you keep us up to date on Pastor Warren and Sis. Allison's ministry up there in Attica, as we do care much about them, and love them dearly.  One request:  more pics of baby girl Rebecca!!!   What a little darling she is!”

SPRING UPDATE LETTER

Dearly Beloved in Christ in every Nation, we greet you in His love and care:

Oh how thankful we are for the beautiful Spring weather and all the flowers and trees beginning to bloom and blossom.

Some years ago, while visiting Israel, in the Spring of the year, I had a glorious experience. Whilst walking in the ancient city of Jerusalem, I was stopped in my tracks upon hearing a repeated bird call: I suppose more beautiful than any I had previously heard. I looked toward its source, and high on the wall of an ancient building, was perched, the most beautiful, tan and white, oriental dove. Of course, I thought immediately of the verse in the Song of Solomon 2:12: "The voice of the 'turtledove' is heard in our land." Even so, after a space of fifteen years, I again recently heard the "call of the turtledove" (this time, not in Jerusalem, but in New Haven, Connecticut). Again, it was a beautiful, tan and white dove, and it called repeatedly, just a few feet in front of me, while flying and lighting high on the façade of a building. What a remarkable experience!

The dove differs from its "cousin," the pigeon, in that it is thinner, with a longer, slender neck, giving it a quality of graceful elegance. It has ever been the symbol of Springtime, and the season of love; in fact, it's rare and elusive call is indeed a mating call or a call of love. This beautiful creature is also a type of the Bride of Christ. Solomon in his astute wisdom refers to her as having "doves' eyes" (or single vision) in Song of Solomon 1:15 and 4:1. (Our Lord Jesus also makes reference to this quality: "if therefore thine eye be single..."  Matthew 6:22.)

It has been determined by expert zoologists that the dove has a uniquely created focusing ability, by which to lock its vision upon the eye of its mate. Perhaps you have heard of the domesticated "love-birds," and have wondered, as have many, why they can sit on a perch and just gaze, eye to eye, with each other for hours. Of course it must be realized that this creature has no forward vision, but only side vision. So, when we observe this type behavior, we are observing a demonstration of the "single-vision" of which event the Ancients were keenly aware.

Thusly, our hearts are filled with praise and adoration of our Lord's Creation, especially in this season of awakening, resurrection, and rebirthing.

Our dear fellow-minister and Father in the Faith, Brother Ed Corley called me recently, and was overjoyed to share with us a remarkable ancient hymn, which he had discovered. I have chosen to post this hymn, as below, for the remainder of our Spring Update Letter, because it speaks to me of the power and efficacy of protracted, poignant, prevailing prayer; such as was practiced by our Lord's "Overcomers," in all Biblical periods. This is the kind of prayer the World needs today! Tragically, most of the Church World has either lost or forgotten the language of such prayer! This is the type of prayer that will not grow weary; will not grow faint; will not give up in despair, but will keep holding on and refuse to turn loose! It is the kind of prayer that precedes and accompanies every significant Revival and Divine Visitation!

This is the kind of prayer with which our fore-fathers were well acquainted: It is the prayer of the persecuted hoards in the catacombs! It is the prayer of the martyrs of all ages! It is the prayer of Jan Hus, while he burned at the stake in 1415. It is the prayer of the Scots Worthies, who signed their testimonies with a pen dipped in their own blood. It is the prayer of a hunted and tormented, Martin Luther! It is the prayer of Calvin, Tyndale, Wycliffe, Latimer, Tischendorf, and scores and scores of others who followed in their train.

It is the prayer that came down through the Dark Ages and kept the fire alive in a Remnant Church; and then burst forth as a Divine Conflagration, accompanying the preaching of John Wesley, George Whitefield, Count Von Zinzendorf! (Oh the mighty fires of the Holy Spirit which blazed and illuminated the World, as it rested upon those early Methodists and Moravians!)

Oh Lord God Almighty! Please come again with the mighty fire of Pentecost and ignite your lukewarm Church (stir the smoldering embers of a backslidden, complacent, lukewarm people). Let the blazing glory of Your Visitation rise up to illuminate and bring light to the dark and stegeon corners of the World. Stir us oh Lord! Let the winds of God, even Your Holy Breath and the fan which is in Your hand! Send the winds of God upon this smoldering spark, until it becomes a mighty inferno of Divine Revival and Blessing, sweeping from Continent to Continent; Nation to Nation; and Village to Village! Amen!

Please meditate upon the words of this blessed hymn below, which is written as a memorial to Jacob as he wrestled with the Angel of God, refusing to be denied of the blessing which he claimed as his own.

I wish to dedicate this to all Prayer Warriors and Intercessory Ministries, in every part of the World. Let us make the verses below, our glorious watch-word in these days, as we stand upon the brink of the "conflict of the ages."  Surely, we are approaching "the time of Jacob's Trouble."

I believe it would be apropos at this juncture, for us all to read and reread, slowly and prayerfully, Matthew 24, and also Isaiah 58, and Psalm 91! Beloved, we are indeed living in momentous days and perilous times. Of theses matters we have known and been well instructed in the more Evangelical streams of thought: From childhood, many of us have been so instructed; and now it is upon us!

COME, O THOU TRAVELER

charleswesley.jpg

CHARLES WESLEY, 1742

Come, O thou Traveler unknown,
Whom still I hold, but cannot see!
My company before is gone,
And I am left alone with Thee;
With Thee all night I mean to stay,
And wrestle till the break of day.

I need not tell Thee who I am,
My misery and sin declare;
Thyself hast called me by my name,
Look on Thy hands, and read it there;
But who, I ask Thee, who art Thou?
Tell me Thy name, and tell me now.

In vain Thou strugglest to get free,
I never will unloose my hold!
Art Thou the Man that died for me?
The secret of Thy love unfold;
Wrestling, I will not let Thee go,
Till I Thy name, Thy nature know.

Wilt Thou not yet to me reveal
Thy new, unutterable Name?
Tell me, I still beseech Thee, tell;
To know it now resolved I am;
Wrestling, I will not let Thee go,
Till I Thy Name, Thy nature know.

’Tis all in vain to hold Thy tongue
Or touch the hollow of my thigh;
Though every sinew be unstrung,
Out of my arms Thou shalt not fly;
Wrestling I will not let Thee go
Till I Thy name, Thy nature know.

What though my shrinking flesh complain,
And murmur to contend so long?
I rise superior to my pain,
When I am weak, then I am strong
And when my all of strength shall fail,
I shall with the God-man prevail.

My strength is gone, my nature dies,
I sink beneath Thy weighty hand,
Faint to revive, and fall to rise;
I fall, and yet by faith I stand;
I stand and will not let Thee go
Till I Thy Name, Thy nature know.

Yield to me now, for I am weak,
But confident in self-despair;
Speak to my heart, in blessings speak,
Be conquered by my instant prayer;
Speak, or Thou never hence shalt move,
And tell me if Thy Name is Love.

’Tis Love! ’tis Love! Thou diedst for me!
I hear Thy whisper in my heart;
The morning breaks, the shadows flee,
Pure, universal love Thou art;
To me, to all, Thy [mercies] move;
Thy nature and Thy Name is Love.

My prayer hath power with God; the grace
Unspeakable I now receive;
Through faith I see Thee face to face,
I see Thee face to face, and live!
In vain I have not wept and strove;
Thy nature and Thy Name is Love.

I know Thee, Savior, who Thou art.
Jesus, the feeble sinner’s friend;
Nor wilt Thou with the night depart.
But stay and love me to the end,
Thy mercies never shall remove;
Thy nature and Thy Name is Love.

The Sun of righteousness on me
Hath rose with healing in His wings,
Withered my nature’s strength; from Thee
My soul its life and succor brings;
My help is all laid up above;
Thy nature and Thy Name is Love.

A PRAYER FOR INTERCESSORS:

(A prayer for restoration of all that the “Locust” has eaten)

The Darkness:

Our Dearest Lord Jesus Christ:

With horror, have we beheld the “Black-Bag” of evil and treachery containing the vile sins and evil abominations, which have over the years encroached upon your Church. These vile deeds are loathsome and abhorrent unto You:  May they be so unto us as well! Cause us to hate every dark machination, and every evil work. Place in us a dread fear of all that is unlike You, so that by Your grace, we shall eschew and turn away from all lust, uncleanness, and rebellion! Cause us to “Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord” (Hebrews 12:14).

The Light:

Dearest Lord Jesus:

With joy and rejoicing have we beheld the clean “White-Bag” of purity and holiness, containing those good, high, and noble deeds and attributes, which have over the years, been expressed and manifested amongst your faithful and loyal servants. All of these holy and righteous principles are greatly beloved and cherished by Yourself, and Your saints. May they be so unto us as well!

Cause us to “…hold fast [unto] that which is good!” (1 Thessalonians 5:21). Please grant us Your grace and favor, to embrace and cling unto all which You have destined for us! Let us arise and embrace Your great vision, and those treasures of Truth and Righteousness, which have been brought to birth by Your Blessed Holy Spirit. Oh, may we again till the soil, and replant the Goodly-Seed of Your true Gospel; to reap in-kind, a mighty and glorious harvest.

Consecration:

Dearest Lord Jesus:

We do now, at this very moment, re-dedicate and re-consecrate ourselves unto Your service, for the Work of Ministry; in rebuilding, restoring, and “repairing the breach” (Isaiah 58:12).

Prayer For Help:

Dearest Lord Jesus:

Oh! Please open the “Windows of Heaven” (Malachi 3:10), and provide all that is necessary to see this great endeavor, through to fulfillment. We do now at this very moment, confess unto You, our utter helplessness! Without a Divine Intervention from Your Almighty creative hand, all is in vain! In, and of ourselves, we are weak, frail, unable, unqualified, and unworthy in the face of this humanly impossible challenge! Oh! Dear Lord: See the huge mountains standing in our path! See the “Strong Giants;” even those evil “Nephilim,” arrayed against us!

We are few in number: Yea, feeble and frail; Battle-weary and fatigued! We dare not focus upon ourselves, but rather upon You, who are the “Captain of the Lord’s Host” (Joshua 5:15). Behold, You who are “Lord Sabaoth” [Lord of Armies]! Into Your hands, oh Lord, do we place this great challenge! Oh! Lord of Armies, go before us, and fight in our behalf! Rise-up as a “Man of War,” and deliver unto us the victory, for it is Yours alone! All the honor and glory belongs unto You! Amen! Yea, arise, and cause to follow in your train, a mighty host of Your sons and daughters, who shall march forward in the power of Your Holy name; under Your anointing and demonstration, in this late hour! May they now be restored unto Your House, as the promised “Meal and Drink Offering!” Send them forth to ignite many revival fires, and to establish Your Kingdom, both at home and abroad! Amen.

Acknowledgment of His Supremacy:

Dearest Lord Jesus Christ:

You are the “Alpha and Omega,” Yea, the “Aleph and Tau!” You are the “Almighty God,” and the “King of Kings and Lord of Lords!” All worship, praise; glory, laud, and honor, belongs unto You; in Heavens, on Earth, and under the Earth; both now and forevermore! Amen and Amen!

GREETINGS TO ALL OUR WEBSITE VISITORS!

To you all, we say a hearty and sincere "WELCOME" to the website of Calvary Baptist Church and Calvary School of the Bible. We greet you all in the precious name of our Lord Jesus Christ!

As many of you know, we have been walking upon a path of prayer and intercession, pursuant to locating a facility suitable for a local church and Bible School. There has been brought to bear a mighty concern and travail amongst many in the Body of Christ! We are so very thankful for all who have been so engaged (and are yet “standing in the gap”), for Divine Intervention, into the situation! God bless you, one and all, and may He strengthen and encourage you as together, we “weep between the porch and the altar.” Amen.

By our Lord’s grace, this website shall continue to serve as a “Table of the Lord;” set, and prepared for those who hunger and thirst after righteousness. I trust that you shall continue to be blessed by the various articles. Dearest Lord Jesus, please cause it to be a source of blessing and encouragement unto all who read the articles posted herein! Amen and Amen!

I wish to report that since nearly the beginning of this website, we have been receiving serious prayer requests (in many cases, pitiful and urgent), from various parts of the World. In reply, we send prayer cloths out, free of charge, in accordance with Acts 19:11-12. We are here to serve the Body of Christ in whatsoever capacity He shall enable us to do so. We welcome your letters and calls, with your prayer requests, and we promise to pray over every request, and reply with a prayer cloth and letter. Please do not hesitate to call us! It is not a bother! We are here for you! Remember, there are no "Dollar-Signs" dictating this Ministry. Freely we have received and freely we must give! This is our joy, and reasonable service to you!

As you peruse the various articles herein contained (especially those contained in our online magazines), you will find some very nourishing and palatable “food” for your spirit and soul. We have taken great care to include writings and teachings of only the highest order! Why? Simply because we believe that the Lord's people deserve only the best, when it comes to matters of His Holy Word and of His Holy Spirit.

While each magazine is unique and different in its own way, with its particular emphasis of teaching, every one of them is absolutely uplifting and edifying!

As you spend time on this website, enjoying the articles which we have posted, please take time to study all Scripture references given in the various articles.  It is not our purpose to throw-out just little "tid-bits" of truth: It is our purpose to present excellent Spiritual-Food, in a time of great need.  Our Lord raised up Joseph, to lay in store food, in order to feed his brethren in the time of famine (please see Genesis 41).  This is precisely what we are accomplishing on this website.  With each anointed article posted, we are "laying in store" food for the hungry.  We desire this ministry to be a repository of nourishing substance for God's children.

We are a Study-Center, and a Non-Secular School of Biblical Learning.  In order to learn, we must apply ourselves to be good students.  "Study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be 'ashamed' [found empty, barren, fruitless, or wanting]..." (2 Timothy 2:15).  Let us follow the example of the Bereans, who were deemed more noble, because they daily searched the Scriptures (Acts 17:11).

ATTENTION!

Our beloved friends and brethren in Christ, as an addenda to my "Welcome," I can think of no higher treasure in hymnody to share with you than the great and well beloved hymn below. It has been said that if a man were never privileged to own a Bible, he should find in the Wesleyan hymns alone, Scripture enough and Divine Truth enough to guide him safe into the Celestial City. Please meditate prayerfully upon the profound words of this hymn, as I sincerely (with many others) believe that Charles Wesley indeed composed his hymns under nothing less than Divine Unction and Prophetic Revelation.

AND CAN IT BE ?

And can it be that I should gain
An interest in the Savior’s blood?
Died He for me, who caused His pain—
For me, who Him to death pursued?
Amazing love! How can it be,
That Thou, my God, shouldst die for me?
Amazing love! How can it be,
That Thou, my God, shouldst die for me?

’Tis mystery all: th’Immortal dies:
Who can explore His strange design?
In vain the firstborn seraph tries
To sound the depths of love divine.
’Tis mercy all! Let earth adore,
Let angel minds inquire no more.
’Tis mercy all! Let earth adore;
Let angel minds inquire no more.

He left His Father’s throne above
So free, so infinite His grace—
Emptied Himself of all but love,
And bled for Adam’s helpless race:
’Tis mercy all, immense and free,
For O my God, it found out me!
’Tis mercy all, immense and free,
For O my God, it found out me!

Long my imprisoned spirit lay,
Fast bound in sin and nature’s night;
Thine eye diffused a quickening ray—
I woke, the dungeon flamed with light;
My chains fell off, my heart was free,
I rose, went forth, and followed Thee.
My chains fell off, my heart was free,
I rose, went forth, and followed Thee.

Still [God's clear] inward voice I hear,
[Rejoice! Your sins are all forgiv'n];
Still the atoning blood is near,
That quenched the wrath of [sin's dark leav'n].
I feel the life His wounds impart;
I feel the Savior in my heart.
I feel the life His wounds impart;
I feel the Savior in my heart.

No condemnation now I dread;
Jesus, and all in Him, is mine;
Alive in Him, my living Head,
And clothed in righteousness divine,
Bold I approach th’eternal throne,
And claim the crown, through Christ my own.
Bold I approach th’eternal throne,
And claim the crown, through Christ my own.

Please know that we are here for you, and that we are ever ready to speak with you and pray for you! You are free to call at any time, day or night. If we are out of the office, please leave a message with a return number, and we promise to be back in touch with you as soon as possible!  Our contact information appears below.

We love you all very dearly in our Lord Jesus Christ, and by His grace, we are here to uplift, encourage, and edify each one of you in any way our Lord shall possibly enable us to do so! God bless you one and all!

URGENT NEWS FLASH ! ! !

These Loyal and Faithful Laborers in God's Vineyard,

Are In Desperate Need of our Help!

Dear Readers:

This is a special announcement to you all, as our beloved friends and brethren in Christ.

We are fellow-members, in Christ's Body. When one member suffers, we all suffer! When one member is in need, “...every joint [every part]” should help to supply that need” (Ephesians 4:16). If we deliberately shut-up our “bowels of compassion,” it shall be asked of us: “How dwelleth the love of Christ in YOU?

"But whoso hath this world's good, and seeth his brother have need, and shutteth up his bowels of compassion from him, how dwelleth the love of God in Him?” (1 John 3:17).

It has never been our practice to do fund-raisers, nor to send out appeals, but because so many today “cannot hear,” when it comes to “giving,” and because: “...the love of many shall wax cold...” (Matthew 24:12), I feel it not out of order to present legitimate needs, and to encourage you to pray about it, and to sincerely ask the Lord, to direct your actions!

I have come under a heavy conviction, to place the needs of others, and their Ministries, above my own.

Please read their profiles, below, and also those of several International Ministries (recently posted in our Magazine: Harvest Call), who are laboring very faithfully in spite of poverty and deprivation! They also stand in desperate need of our prayers and help!

ED AND LENA MAE CORLEY:

edcorleylenamae.jpg

UPDATE: The Corley Family stand especially in need of prayer at this time: Sarah recently posted on her facebook a request for her parents, Ed and Lena Mae. Ed recently suffered a very painful heart attack requiring the implementation of several stents.  He is now at home and makeing good progress with his recovery.  Sister Lena Mae was recently diagnosed with a serious type of anemia, for which she is under medical treatment, in an attempt to arrest the condition in its early stages.  Thirdly, dear Sister Sarah, who is such a great help to her parents, has just been released from the hospital, where she was being treated for double pneumonia.  Please keep this precious family in your earnest and sincere prayers.  Thank you!

"Brother Ed" (as he prefers to be known) came to Christ as a Southern Baptist, at a young age. Very early on, he was aware of a calling and burden upon his heart to become a minister. A remarkable student in high school, he showed great promise as a candidate for formal education! As the hand of God came to rest more heavily upon him, he committed himself to a life of service to the Lord Jesus, and entered a Southern Baptist Seminary, where he achieved well, and earned two theological degrees.

He and Lena Mae pioneered churches, and served in Pastorates in the Deep South for a number of years, before being introduced to the Pentecostal experience, which because of their great hunger for God, they received gladly! Before long, they were led via a series of unusual circumstances, to serve upon the faculty and staff of Elim Bible Institute, at Lima, New York; where for many years, their life and ministry was a great asset and blessing! By this juncture, they had been blessed with three beautiful children, which to this day, are, with their grandchildren, a delight to their hearts. All are dedicated Believers in Christ.

After years of ministry in America, Canada, and upon Foreign Fields, Ed was directed to concentrate his time to a greater extent, in writing and publishing, wherein he has been engaged for the past thirty years as a Prophetic Teacher unto the Nations. Literally, many tons of Instructional, Doctrinal, and Deeper-Life teachings have been sent forth from the Corleys’ ministry, around the World; including to jails, prisons, and various penal institutions.

During and before this period, the Lord also sent Ed forth unto the Nations.  He was privileged to travel to several regions in India; the Philippine Islands; Tailand; numerous African Nations; South America; Argentina; Guyana; Colombia; Venezuala; Peru; Dominican Republic; and the Netherlands.  Ed's travels to these Nations were very fruitful and blessed, as he ministered as a Prophetic Teacher and also in the Gifts of the Holy Spirit, to the many needs represented amongst those to whom he ministered.  Ed also Pastored churches in Mississippi; Toronto, Ontario; California; and Georgia. The fruit born from their Ministry is indeed immeasureable and beyond comprehension. To God be all the glory!

Today, Ed, Lena Mae, and two of their children (and their children) press faithfully on in this work, from their headquarters in North Carolina. Ed's ministry teachings will be a tremendous blessing and encouragement to you. Our dear brother is far more than an “Instructor in Righteousness;” he is a true Father in the Faith, known and loved around the world.

I recently spoke with Brother, Ed Corley: I felt there was a serious need, but he was reticent to divulge details, as he is a true “giver,” and is not wont to make known his needs.

Let it suffice that the needs are pressing, urgent, and desperate, upon this dear Dad and Mom in the Faith! Sister, Lena Mae recently suffered a serious fall, which brought-on serious complications, necessitating her hospitalization. Dad Corley suffers nearly constantly from severe pain, due to a spinal injury, with resulting neuropathy. Mom Corley has worked faithfully and tirelessly in the shipping room, standing on her feet for long hours, despite painful arthritis in her hands and legs. Their Ministry has sent-out free Gospel Literature to the Nations, and also, unto prisons, and needy souls everywhere, for more than forty years; faithfully and freely, sending forth mature teachings upon the Word of God, unto hungry souls; never asking a dime for themselves!

There is great value in the Ministries of the Elder Statemen, in Christ's Body. Dad Corley has been serving the Lord Jesus, for sixty-seven years; preaching and teaching, for the past sixty years! He is one of the most anointed and scholarly prophetic teachers, in the World today. His vision is stronger than ever to get the “Bread of Life,” out-unto the Nations. Dad Corley is a true “Berean;” searching, and rightly dividing, the Scriptures, for hours, upon a daily basis.

While many in the churches, today are splashing around in “ankle-deep waters,” engaging in silly, childish, “fun and games;” our Lord Jesus, has His “seasoned Generals” (Thank God for them)! If ever the churches needed the wisdom, maturity, and integrity of statured fathers and mothers, in the Faith, it is now! These noble veterans have been through many dangers, toils, and snares! They have been through many fierce battles, and have sailed over many stormy seas! Beloved! We need (the World needs), their knowledge and understanding of the deeper realms in God, and of the precepts and dealings of His Kingdom, to be worked into our lives. GOD HELP YOUR CHURCH!

Here stand we, upon the brink of World War III, which may very possibly usher-in the “beginning of sorrows.”

All these are the beginning of sorrows” (Matthew 24:8).

While all too many contemporary “leaders,” are dishing-up, Pabulum, ice-cream, candy, and cake (Spiritually speaking), it is high-time, for the Body of Christ to acknowledge, encourage, and support its God-appointed Elders and Bishops! It is a disgrace and a reproach that we have “fallen down on the job!”

And though the Lord give you the bread of adversity, and the water of affliction, yet shall not thy teachers be removed into a corner any more, but thine eyes shall see thy teachers: And thine ears shall hear a word behind thee [calling you back to where you went off course], saying, This is the way, walk ye in it, when ye turn to the right hand, and when ye turn to the left” (Isaiah 30:20-21).

Let the elders that rule well be counted worthy of double honour [signifying a double amount in honorariums, tithes, and offerings], especially they who labour in the word and doctrine” (1 Timothy 5:17).

Even so hath the Lord ordained that they which preach the gospel should live [receive their support and sustenance from] of the gospel” (I Corinthians 9:14).

The husbandman [any member of the Five-Fold Ministry] that laboureth must be first partaker of the fruits [tithes and offerings being the firstfruits]” (2 Timothy 2:6).

For the scripture saith, Thou shalt not muzzle the ox [any member of the Five-Fold Ministry] that treadeth out the corn. And, The labourer is worthy of his reward” (1 Timothy 5:18).

BECKY BRITTON VOLZ:

beckybritton4.jpg

Sister Becky grew up with a godly heritage, having a love for the Lord Jesus, instilled in her heart from early childhood, as well as a love for His precious Word. She has served the Lord from an early age, working and assisting in the office of: “Voice of the Overcomer Publications,” and “The Church in Action,” located in Springfield, Missouri. She has so faithfully carried-on the Ministry for the past fourteen years (since 1998)!

She must press on in blind-faith, and trust the Lord from month, to month, just to be able to meet the utilities. In actuality, our dear sister must believe God, and walk in faith on a day to day basis. I can assure you, Sister Becky lives a very frugal and austere life. There is no extravagance, nor ostentation; and certainly no waste! I can personally vouch for this fact, since it has been my privilege to be close to the Britton family since 1967. Dad and Mama Britton loved me as a son, and to Becky, Philip, and Rachel, I have been like a big “Bubba” (Southern coloq. for “brother”).

It has come so strongly upon me to share a few words concerning Sister Becky. She is a very low-key and unassuming person, so I surely trust she will not be embarrassed by my candidness. Our dear sister has made great personal sacrifices to continue the ministry of the Voice of the Overcomer/Church in Action, which may be accessed on their website: billbrittonministries.com.

The big old home on Grant Avenue has for fifty years, been a refuge, oasis, and a resting place, to many weary souls; as well as a home away from home for Bible School students, missionaries, ministers, and workers in the Overcomer office. I know for a fact that at one time, due to leakage from the roof and vibration from the hammering and repairs of workers, plaster fell on the third floor. Sister Becky put her work gloves-on, and tore into the work with determination. She helped to pull down plaster and put-up insulation. She worked, and worked!
Little by little, repairs have been made, but there remain yet pressing needs for further repairs and upgrades to that venerable old home, which has been over the years a safe-haven unto so many. Yes, there are still repairs needed right now, and there are no funds with which to make them!
Please remember to pray for and stand with, our dear sister: Becky Britton Volz. All offerings sent to Sister Becky should be made payable to:

WARREN AND ALLISON DAYTON:

warren_and_allison_church.jpg

Now, beloved friends, these precious kids (for several reasons) stand seriously in need of the prayers and kind benevolence of every one of us. Please know that Warren and Allison did not request me to address this matter. I have done this upon my own volition and in obedience to what I perceive to be a definite and specific leading of our Lord Jesus Christ. These precious young folk are called to Ministry! Allison is also employed in Canada, until she is free to immigrate to America. The burden for the Attica Center Church is heavily upon them both. Warren has served there, often without salary, for the past five years.

Allison is engaged in the immigration process, so that she shall be permitted to move to New York, where they shall serve the Pastorate and make their home. Immigration (since 9/11) has become a complicated and arduous ordeal. They have secured the services of an Immigration-Attorney to assist in the process, which may require many more months to complete.

That little church in the Hills has been a Lighthouse and a Soul-Saving-Station, since 1821. The present edifice, is the third, having been erected in 1915. It is a lovely "Country-Church” and very soundly constructed, but it stands seriously in need of repair. The congregation is not wealthy and the needed repairs are urgent.

I have requested Warren to post their wedding photos and also photos of their overseas missions work, as well as some photos of the church edifice, including shots of the areas needing repair.

May God richly bless them, and prosper this endeavor! Please pray for them as they build their page, and before long, add to it audio and video as well.

Please remember to pray for and stand with, our dear brother and sister, Warren and Allison. All offerings sent to them should be made payable to:

Because God's People are no longer walking faithfully in their “giving,” these dear fellow Ministers are impoverished, and finding it necessary to labor under the most difficult circumstances; having literally to believe God upon a daily basis for their basic survival!  We humbly implore all of our beloved readers to be faithful in praying for these beloved fellow-ministers, listed above.

Beloved! This should not be so! Brother and Sister Corley, Sister Becky, and Warren and Allison, do not make known their needs, but by our Lord's grace, I SHALL MAKE IT KNOWN, and thusly appeal to YOU, to stand in the gap and make-up the “lack.” May all who do so, be greatly blessed! Amen.

"And I sought for a man among them, that should make up the hedge, and stand in the gap before Me for the land, that I should not destroy it: but I found none” (Ezekiel 22:30).

And He saw that there was no man, and wondered that there was no intercessor” (Isaiah 59:16).

Wherever possible, “intercession” should have connected with it, some monetary benevolence! Empty words and vain promises mean little to those who may not know from whence their next meal shall come, nor will words put gasoline in their car, which has been sitting useless and idle, because the needle is on empty. Faith requires action, and in this context, action requires giving.

"If a brother or sister be naked, and destitute of daily food, and one of you say unto them, Depart in peace, be ye warmed and filled; notwithstanding ye give them not those things which are needful to the body; what doth it profit?” (James 2:15, 16).

Oh! My Dear Friends: I am so heavily under a godly concern: As I write, I am aware of a heavy prophetic intercession and a Divine Mandate to speak to you concerning these matters. Our Lord Jesus is calling for the hands in His Body to give and to work! Yea, He is calling for the legs and the feet of His Body to arise and stand, and to come up unto the help of the Lord. Who shall arise and open their hands? Who shall go and take up the tools? Who shall join heart and hand in the good work? Lo, who shall hear the call of the Lord, and go to uphold the drooping hands and to confirm the feeble knees of these beloved and faithful servants of God? Yea, the call of the Lord goes forth in this hour in their behalf! Who will hear? Who will obey? Who will help? Who will arise and go?

Please note that in the prophetic utterance above, our Lord is presenting the need, a challenge, and a call. He is asking: “Who will go?...who will pick up the tools?” I feel compelled at this moment to disclose to you that Warren's dear Mother (a retired person) has been faithfully doing her best to help in the work upon the old country church. I find it very moving and sobering, that even when Warren is in Canada or working in construction, his dear mother often drives up to the church building, and there works alone, for hours at a time, scraping the scaly old clapboards, and applying a primer coat as well; all with arthritic hands. If there were any way possible, I would personally be there helping, but I have no way to get there; and Warren's schedule is so full that there is no way he can drive me there. What I can do is pray and intercede! Our dear Lord Jesus knows and sees the deep concern and the weight that is upon my heart concerning this matter.

Without treading upon “dangerous ground,” suffice that, I cannot help wondering: “Where are the men, who should be standing with our dear brother and his little wife? WHERE ARE THE MEN OF GOD, BOTH YOUNG AND OLD? Where is the godly concern? Where are those who carry the burden of the Lord? Surely we are living in the time of the great “falling away!” The love of many has waxed cold, but surely, SURELY; THERE MUST BE A REMNANT SOMEWHERE WHO CAN YET HEAR THE CALL OF THE LORD; WHO CAN YET FEEL A COMPASSION FOR THEIR BRETHREN; AND WHO ARE YET WILLING TO COME UP TO THE HELP OF THE LORD!

...they came not up to the help of the LORD...” (Judges 5:23).

Oh! I can feel the urgency of the Holy Spirit in this prophecy! Yea! I can hear the call of the Lord! “WHO WILL GO? . . . WHO WILL GO? . . . WHO WILL TAKE UP THE TOOLS? . . . WHO WILL JOIN HEART AND HAND IN THE GOOD WORK?”

Dearly Beloved, the above has come forth under a powerful intercession of the Holy Spirit and with strong weeping. I must add this: If we are personally not able to go, we should be willing to send, and to facilitate those who can and will go. It has been necessary for Brother Warren to “hire” workers (beloved, these things ought not be so). Things being as they are, workers cannot be hired without money, so I would like to add this: Who will give? Who will send help? Who will open their heart and hand to this just and worthy cause?

I will close by sincerely asking you to earnestly pray and open your heart as to what our Lord Jesus would have you to do at this time, in behalf of these dear Folk. If ever there were a “good-soil,” into which to sow your kind benevolence, it is into the Ministries of these beloved and faithful Ministers of God.

Your Faithful Friend and Humble Servant,

Brother, Michael O'Connor
