Beloved in Christ:
It is my privilege to introduce to you a blessed young brother I met two
years ago: He was at the time a student in the school where Brother Warren served upon the Faculty. This is one of the brothers for whom I requested prayer in the current list found on the Ebenezer Worldwide
Prayer Band. These dear folk desperately need Bibles, and a more convenient sanctuary
to accommodate their gatherings. Please pray very earnestly as to what the Lord
would have you do help in this regard. Thank you and God bless you everyone!
– Dad O’C
“I am Daniel Clement Chirembo, and I am pioneering a church in a Moslem
community, in Malawi, Africa. I am married to Funnie Chipofya, and the Lord has blessed us with one son named David!
I was born into a polygamous family, where I did not know the Love of God. My parents divorced while I was very young. (I
think 6 months old!) I grew up with the help of only my mother. I never experienced the Love of God in my life, and the Love of the Father until I came to know Jesus,
in the year 2000.
I grew up in life with low self esteem; with a seed of rejection, and wondering
why my parents divorced. I wondered: ‘If God was there, why did He allow
them to divorce?’ Among these were many questions!
I went to school thinking I should study and get a degree in law, but I did
not make it, and I ended up in doing business! So, I opened-up bars, where people
used to drink beers, and I had lots of people working under me! I employed prostitutes, so they would attract people to buy
the beer! I had 40 people working under me by then!
I was addicted to alcohol, because I grew up with a rejected spirit, and
the only way how I thought to enjoy life, was to consume lots of alcohol and drugs!
My turning point was when the Lord Himself visited me on 13 august 2000.
I saw a vivid vision of the Lord in my room while I was drunk. The Lord clearly spoke to me: ‘I have called you, son, for my work!’ The voice was coming in an ‘echo-form!’ By then,
I wondered who was speaking to me!
When the morning came, I wondered at myself; going into a far mountain, with
a Bible. (At first I did not agree with it!) I
remember sitting on that mountain, reading Isaiah 66, verses 1-10, and John 1:1-10.
Suddenly tears came into my eyes, and I saw the Love of God; how that He had to send His dear Son, Jesus – only,
to die for me!
I felt the love of God, and I knew that God loved me despite my sins, and
all that I had gone through! I gave my life unto the Lord! Peace came into my heart! I felt accepted! I went back-home, rejoicing like the ‘Ethiopian eunuch!’
Praise God!
When I reached home, my wife noticed that something had changed in me, because
I was no longer the same Daniel that people knew! Praise God!
I went straight away and closed the bars where I used to do a bar and beer
business. This was done under the conviction of the Holy Spirit! The Lord took away all the dirty money out of me, and started me again from the scratch!
The Lord opened a door for me and my family to go to South Africa, where
I went to a school known as, William Carey School of World Missions, where I obtained a diploma in Missions!
I returned home and began the ministry in Mangochi. I then went to the USA to study at a ‘vocation school,’ after which I returned home, where
I am now doing full-time ministry, serving as a Pastor, in a Moslem community in the southern part of Malawi! We have 48 members in the church!
Mangochi is a place where 98% of the people are Moslems, and the Lord is
doing a great work in us, to preach to these Moslems! Mangochi is a place where
there are lots of Arabs; and doing ministry in this area is so risky, but, we are ready to give up our lives for the
sake of Our King Jesus!
We are currently looking up unto God, to build a sanctuary in this community!
We believe God for a mighty harvest in this community! There has been much persecution, but the Lord has seen us through!
We are still pressing on!
I thank God for my dear wife, who has given me much support,
and not forgetting my dear son David, who never questions why I am risking my life: He knows it is to the Lord!”
