Bill Britton, ca. 1970
(Apostle and Father in the Faith)
This picture of Brother
Bill was taken in New Zealand, in 1968, less than an hour after the small aircraft in which he traveled crashed on the beach
near where he stands. Thankfully, both Brother Bill and his pilot were miraculously spared.
Bill Britton was an excellent
role-model for young preachers. He was a real "man," who walked with stature and authority, while at the same time exhibiting
to all, the love and compassion of our Lord Jesus Christ.
The Britton family has served
the Body of Christ faithfully and unselfishly for many years. We place upon Rebecca
the highest possible endorsement! We are very thankful and indebted to our dear
sister in Christ, and for her kind benevolence in entrusting unto us this great legacy.

The Bill Britton Collection
We are very humbled and
thankful to acknowledge that as a part of this archive, there has been donated to us a body of literature including the writings,
teachings, and preachments (as well as the personal collection of documents, books, historical data, and religious ephemera)
of another dear “Father in the Faith,” who was promoted to a more excellent glory in 1984. We speak fondly of none other than William C. (Bill) Britton. (Brother
Hoyer and Brother Britton shared an inspiring and special friendship, as yoke-fellows and comrades who labored as noble “Bereans”
in the Scriptures.)
This body of archival literature
shall be known as the “Bill Britton Collection.” It was most graciously
donated to the stewardship of Calvary Baptist Church, by his beloved daughter, Rebecca Britton Volz, who grew up with a godly
heritage, instilling in her a love for the Lord Jesus, and for His precious Word. Rebecca
served the Lord from an early age, working and assisting in the office of: “Voice of the Overcomer Publications,”
and “The Church in Action.” She has since 1998, served as director
of the family-ministry, located at Springfield, Missouri.
