WHAT IS A “PRAYER-CLOTH?”
Firstly, a prayer-cloth is not some sort of “lucky-charm,” nor “occult-accessory.” There
is nothing magical, nor mystical about a prayer-cloth; neither should they ever be sold! To do so would be a disgrace, yet
many today, seem to have no fear of God, nor are they hesitant to “make merchandise” of the Gospel (2 Peter 2:3).
Everything made available by this Ministry is without price. “Freely ye have received, freely give” (Matthew 10:8).
We send prayer-cloths forth in the precious name of Jesus Christ, unto all requesting them. This we do upon the
Scriptural basis found in Acts 19:11-12 (in the New Testament of the Bible). The Apostle, Paul, sent forth cloths from his
body unto those unable to come to him, nor he to them. His purpose in doing so was to establish a link, and to identify with
the needs of the supplicants. This link was to serve as a vehicle to impart the anointing of the Holy Spirit. “...and
the yoke shall be destroyed because of the anointing” (Isaiah 10:27). In modernity, we may refer to this practice as,
“the personal touch.”
While a sickly or mentally disturbed person may have been glad to hear of others who received help and benefit
from Paul's ministry; can we even imagine the joy and comfort which was theirs when friends or family members returned home
with a “cloth” sent by the Apostle, himself? According to the Scriptural record, many such persons were indeed
helped and ministered unto! Thusly, we follow Paul's example in this ancient tradition.
By our Lord's grace, we are now reaching into every Nation with the Gospel. As a result, we shall increasingly
reach dear souls, having serious needs. Whilst praying for the expressed needs of those requesting a “cloth,”
we pray-over, and anoint with oil, the prayer-cloth, by proxy, as though personally praying for the individual. We then send
the prayer-cloth and request the recipient to wear it for several days, or as long as they wish.
While wearing a prayer-cloth, one must walk softly and carefully before the Lord, forgiving everyone for everything!
Also, one should acknowledge, confess, repent, and judge one's self guilty of every known sin; And wherever possible, to make
things right in the fear of the Lord.
One should remain in a spirit of reverence and prayerfulness, taking time to read the Scriptures and think upon
God's Holy Word. It is important also to be thankful and to praise and worship the Lord for His merciful kindness. This is
vitally important in view of the fact that this sacred institution dates back to the First Century Church. It will be helpful
also to meditate upon Psalm 23, Psalm 91, Psalm 103, Isaiah 53, John 14 (and all of the four Gospels as well... Matthew, Mark,
Luke, and John). Also, the Acts of the Apostles.
Those bound by vices, and life-controlling habits cannot reform themselves, but to be helped, they must be willing
for our Lord Jesus, to change them, and to extricate them from all that displeases Him, and is hurtful and damaging unto themselves!
There are unfortunately today, numerous unscrupulous persons lurking about as wolves in sheep's clothing. These
“money-grabbing hucksters,” are making fools of poor, hard-working folk, by hawking and selling for exorbitant
prices, “blessed waters,” “oils,” “candles,” “pictures,” “statues,”
“powders,” “potions,” “charms,” “amulets,” (and only our Lord knows what else!).
My beloved friends, these things are all very closely related to the occult realm, and must have no place whatsoever
amongst true followers of our Lord Jesus Christ! These items and practices surrounding them share no identity with, nor are
they to be compared with, the sacred and holy institution of the Biblical prayer-cloth, which must always be prayed-over very
sincerely, and sent forth, absolutely free of charge. Please understand very clearly that we are not “healers,”
nor do we make claims, nor promises of any kind. We are commanded to pray for Folk! This we do as sincerely and humbly
as we know how! The rest is up to God Himself, as He is the Healer! When requesting a prayer-cloth, you must be specific in
stating your needs and prayer requests (and those of others for whom you wish prayer), so we may pray intelligently in your
behalf. Remember to send your mailing address, as we cannot send prayer-cloths over the internet.
