After graduation from Zion Bible Institute in 1949, where they studied under Mother Christine
A. Gibson, David and Lorraine served as Pastors in Long Island and co-founded the Long Island Bible Institute.
They were commissioned by our Lord Jesus in 1957, to Coudersport, Pennsylvania, to "call-out
a people for His name's sake," and pioneer a church which was destined to become worldwide in its reach
and influence to the nations. The spiritual labor and self-sacrifice necessary
to bring this to pass staggers imagination.
There was very little expression of “Pentecost” in northern Pennsylvania
in the 1950’s. The “Field” was fallow and overgrown with thorns
and briers: The “Soil” was poor and non-productive; yet David, Lorraine, and others joined to the vision, pressed
faithfully on, “…counting all things but loss… [in order to]…win Christ.” (Philippians 3:8). “…What hath God wrought!” (Numbers 23:23).
