Winnie and her beloved late husband, Leonard, became childhood
sweethearts at age twelve, married at twenty-one, and have been blessed with three lovely daughters, and ten outstanding grandchildren. After nearly a lifetime together, they were very devoted to one another and to their
family, and were still very much in love, until the time of Len's home-going.
Len, Winnie, and I were classmates at Bible College for several years, after which they were married and entered
into Christian service. They were first licensed to the Ministry in 1968, by
the Gospel Defenders of Philadelphia, and were installed by Pastor Viola Wertz, into their first parish, being a humble country
church near Woodbury, New Jersey: It came complete with no salary, no running water, an erstwhile ancient furnace, and a rickety
outhouse in the backyard. From those humble beginnings, they pastored an “On-Fire”
Assembly of God church in Somerdale, New Jersey, which was for years a center for Revival and Divine-Visitation in the South
Jersey area. They have since pastored other Assemblies of God churches.
It has been Len and Winnie’s great joy also to serve under numerous other ministries; seeking always to
be a blessing and encouragement to those Pastors and Elders. They have served
committedly and faithfully, in New York City; Deptford, New Jersey; Long Branch, New Jersey; Somerdale, New Jersey; Elmer,
New Jersey; Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; Tampa, Florida; Bradenton, Florida; and in numerous other Fields as well. They have ministered often as a family, which has proved to be a great blessing to many, as they have travelled
amongst various churches; ministering musically, in the Word of God, and in the Gifts of the Holy Spirit. Without exaggeration, they have been mightily used of our Lord Jesus Christ in His Body! Their ministry crosses Denominational lines, racial barriers, and Doctrinal viewpoints. Len, Winnie, and Family are my dear and precious friends and comrades in the Faith. God bless them one and all!
